Meet our founder

Traveluxe Official was founded by Emily Lockard-Furry in 2014 and began with a desire to offer bespoke honeymoon itineraries with unforgettable experiences after recognizing a lack of true concierge style service in the travel industry. Her passion for serving clients with acute attention to detail only continued to grow from there. As the years went on, she steadily added to the services offered by Traveluxe Official and continues to do so as she expands her already extensive travel expertise.

Founded in 2014 by Emily Lockard-Furry, this travel concierge service team boasts the highest standard of client care, luxury locations and top-quality experiences. A bit of insight into Emily’s story

Tell us a little bit about yourself!

I am a native Texan and married to my high school sweetheart (Russ) and we have an adorable girl named Audrey Mara, and also two very spoiled rotten Yorkies (Baxter & Bentley).

Explain to us the services that Traveluxe has to offer!

Traveluxe Official works as your liaison and concierge for all travel needs ensuring that you are treated as a VIP client. From the planning stages through your travels, we are with you every step of the way! Upon receipt of your concierge fee ($500 for a honeymoon), we begin pulling quotes and finding the perfect properties and activities for you based on individual desires. Traveluxe Official arranges:

  • Airfare
  • Accommodations
  • Transfer Reservations
  • Excursions/Tours
  • Meal Reservations
  • Spa Treatment Reservations
  • Private Dinners
  • And more! Two weeks prior to your departure, we will reach out to our personal contact at your hotel and let them know that you are our clients. This ensures you are well cared for and looked after before, during and even upon your return home from abroad!

If you decide while you are already on property to add an excursion or spa reservation, we would be more than happy to accommodate you with that as well! Our service doesn’t end with your booking confirmation, we remain at your service and are happy to help!

What inspired you to start Traveluxe Official?

I wanted to travel while helping people to create unforgettable memories with their loved ones. I knew I wanted to work for myself and be location independent, and this career was a no-brainer!

What fuels your passion as a business owner?

My husband – he supports me in everything I attempt to accomplish, and my daughter – I love providing them with a unique lifestyle opportunity and giving our daughter the luxury of travel. I only traveled within Texas the first 15 years of my life, which I didn’t mind because I was a country girl – but it is important to me to show her the world!

What is your most favorite place that you have traveled to and why?

Australia – I went on a solo trip for a month the first time I visited and I have never traveled to a foreign place and felt so at home!

Why is hiring a travel concierge important?

I’m not a hotline, so you know that I’m the person you’ll speak to when you call me – not a sales rep in a foreign country. A concierge is very different from a travel agent – a travel agent is transactional at most, and a concierge goes above and beyond the most basic duties of a travel agent. We connect our clients with experiences as well as handle the travel and logistics.

What makes Traveluxe different from other companies?

Our team goes above and beyond to handle any request for our clients – even those that aren’t really travel related! For example, negotiating a private Duran Duran concert for a VIP client’s 50th birthday party in London to renting a beer “burro” (donkey) to carry drinks in Mexico for a destination wedding group!

How involved are you in the travel experience with your clients?

We are as involved as our clients would like – some of our clients know exactly what they want and don’t need recommendations, but even then, we help in any way we can. Some clients come to us and have NO idea where they want to travel, so that’s a lot of fun to help them narrow down their options. I once had a client text me at 2 am to request a toothbrush be sent to her room in St. Lucia, and I was in New York for a conference when she texted me. I called the front desk of Jade Mountain and requested they bring her a toothbrush as soon as possible. Two minutes later she texted me and said: “Thanks so much for the toothbrush”…
