In a city full of weddings centered around Plantations and Historical Estates, Cannon Green has provided a fresh perspective for Charleston.
Used as both a Wedding/Events Venue and a Restaurant, the Easton Porter Group, responsible for award winners such as Zero George and Pippin Hill Farms, have hit another home run. Staying true to the Charleston Charm we've all come to know and love, every part of the space both indoor and outdoor has been thoughtfully designed.
The interior of the restaurant showcases the remains of an 1840's Charleston single, and the Trolley Room features a vaulted ceiling with the original exposed trusses. Step outside into the Courtyard and take in the luxurious surroundings of travertine hardscaping, reflection pools and a greenery wall featuring live plants - perfect for a photo backdrop!

With executive chef Amalia Scatena, the food is as beautiful as the venue. The menu changes weekly, using the freshest, locally available ingredients. Always offered, is the Chef's Tasting Menu. A 6-course menu featuring a variety of dishes showcasing what's in season and inspiring to Chef Amalia that week.
I highly recommend asking the impressively knowledgeable staff what their favorites are for the week. Our server Robby was 2-days new to Cannon Green and managed to knock it out of the park. We started with appetizers of Triggerfish Ceviche - SO good - and Bone Marrow. Having only tried Bone Marrow one other time, we were incredibly weary. However, trusting Robby's recommendations was one of the best things we could have done. Chef Amalia astounded our taste buds with a truly spectacular dish. Fresh, flavorful, tender, succulent and mouth watering are just a few of the adjectives we could possibly use to describe it. As if that could be topped, our entrees featuring Tuna Al Pastor and Beeline Snapper rounded out our fabulous meal. The evening was perfectly concluded with a glass of wine in the courtyard under the lights.

In addition to dinner, Cannon Green also features a "Beats and Brunch" on Sundays where they have a local DJ spinning music to compliment the most delicious food.
For parties of 8-18, I highly recommend reserving the Chef's Table. The Chef's Table offers a four-course personalized menu, all set on a balcony overlooking the courtyard below.
